That would be good news for all those people with those rather expensive serial connected paperweights. Are you saying that the Space Controller drivers work with the older 3D Connexion serial type Spaceballs? With that being the case, then Space Controller being around and active looks good for users of this type of technology.
I have the same question Show 0 Likes 0. So I wonder if this is a spin-off company set up, generated by people who were in the original development team and who believed they could do better for their customers than under instruction from their 3D Connexion owners, who I believe took them over earlier in the company’s history.
But since I install SW I’m no more able to configure the button but the 3D control ysb working. Since that take-over happened, so much of the original product line-up has been changed and made redundant. I had an old Genius keyboard with multimedia keys made before Windows officially supported multimedia keys so they were codified in a non standard way. If I do purchase new devices, I will look elsewhere.

Is spacebal else a little upset about the situation with 3dconnexion and Windows 7 drivers? That process appears to be continuing onward with sspaceball current range.
Competition can be a great driver of better response to customer feedback and 3D Connexion do appear to have been all too insensitive to their users in the past. There are no incompatible peripherals, there are just manufacturers who don’t care about updating their dirvers. I notice that 3D Connexion products have frequent price discount offers coming up over recent months and wonder if that indicates not only a market slow-down, but also feeling a cold wind from the new competition.
Now I have Windows 8. I’d rather support Space Control in there efforts to get and keep tools in the hands of there customers. That clarifies it, although it does dash the hopes that arose when reading your original post. They just offer better support for there controllers.
I’ve looked at the Space Controller site and their products have a distinct relationship with those at 3D Connexion.
Please type your message and try again. They also appear to have taken on board the preference for early users to continue with a ball device, rather than the pill, spacenall providing that option choice still.
